Course description

This is an eLearning course of approximately 4 hours. It is designed for all multi-agency professionals working in the borough who want to learn more about how to recognise and sensitively respond to people who have experienced DA/SV. The course can be completed in one sitting or delegates can pause and continue the course at a later time.


Please note that this online course is accessible for booking from 15 October 2018 to 15 September 2020.

Training objectives

  1. Good working knowledge of DA & SV

  2. Good practice guidelines for staff supporting DA & SV survivors

  3. Referral pathways in Barnet and across London

  4. Understanding of MARAC and how to refer

  5. Supporting survivors using a multi-agency approach

Learning outcomes

  1. Know what constitutes DA/SV

  2. Be able to idenitfy some of the 'signs' that may signal DA and SV

  3. Feel more confident when talking about DA/SV

  4. Know how best to respond to a disclosure and what to do next

  5. Kinow how to support and refer to specialist agencies

  6. Knowledge of agencies in Barnet
